Firstly, I skipped NSE trg, for a very good reason and thats to recover as fast as I can for tmr's captain ball game.
Somehow or rather, I realised the whole system's a little sucky. In the sense, Inter con's Captain Ball's supposed to be like the cream of the crop from respective schools, fighting for the honour of their own faculty. However, it turns out to be like an Inter Club thing and since everyone's a member of Singapore Polytechnic Students Union, SPSU can choose any players they want, as long as they are still studying in the polytechnic. How ridiculous? Clubs and societies will of course send in their best players respectively but its fine with me if they're sending all their active members but they are doing otherwise. Pretty screwed up system ): No matter what, my team will only have to play hard since we only have genuine business students and not any Tom, Dick or Harry found on the streets. Overall, SPSU still sucks, lousy way of recruitment and very low efficiency, tmr maybe the start of the game and the fixtures aint even out yet.
Sometimes I wonder, how many people in polytechnic or in their education life joined CCA for their interest, to know more about the sport or to excel in the sports or to make more friends? Personally, I felt people in SP certainly, a handful of them, I wouldnt say majority, joined a CCA, either for CCA points or to suck up to lecturers. At least, in my mind, I can come up with a few names. I, myself, is a little guilty of that, I joined the worst CCA in SP and thats non other than SMART. To further clarify, I joined for a reason and thats to promote DBF cuz I love my course (: However, Im glad that Im out of this shit since I've joined SP Netball, something I truely love and enjoy. SMART duties are the most ever boring jobs and I truely understand why Brian didnt wanted to join and why Vincent quitted!
On a lighter note, its granny's death anniversary today, 11years I reckon. She's one of the most noble woman on earth, very easy going, very forgiving. Of course, I din spent enough time with her since she passed away while I was like 8years old. I could recalled her funeral very vividly. At that tender age, I doubt I know wad was going on. I mean I can never understand the pain that the adults were suffering, not having the chance to see their loved ones ever again.
To me, life and death are part and parcel of life, I prefer to treasure when I have the chance to rather than to cry and sob when things are gone. But when things or people are really gone, I guess I do appreciate and wish them all the best in the other side of the world, I pray for their well being.
